We are Erik and Sofia best friends and founders of StandOut Travel. We started as an incoming travel agency in not only because of the need to find tourism offers specifically designed for the LGBT traveler, but also to connect and educate about Swedens work for the LGBT+ community. We work with selected local partners for our services and always aim to deliver our services over your expectations. Our purpose is to bring people together, end discrimination and tell Sweden’s LGBT history.

Giving Back: We partner with non-profits, LGBTQ+ artists, and more to promote their art, services, and more. For every sold product we give 20 SEK to the Swedish LGBT+ foundation “The Rainbow Fund”.

Each facility has implemented corporate social responsibility initiatives, like LED lighting and recycling programs for paper, plastic, and glass. All ink waste is disposed of to meet environmental regulations. We also donate damaged products to charitable organizations.

HEJ, I AM ERIK - Co-Founder/CEO
I grew up in the heart of the Swedish west coast, outside Uddevalla. My dad is from there and my mum is from Kiruna, the very north part of Sweden. I’ve been living in cities in Sweden like Lund, Gothenburg, and Stockholm where I settled down in 2013. I love to travel, personal development, art and connect other people.
HEJ, I AM TOBIAS - Business Development Manager
I grew up in our beautiful capital Stockholm. I’ve also been living in the Swedish city Kalmar, where I study business development and economics. I have a long experience working with travel and hospitality. I love to travel, exploring, marketing, events, art and of course meet new people.
HEJ, I AM LARS - GUIDE STOCKHOLM
With a past as a ranger-trained safari guide in Southern Africa, I nowadays guide in the urban jungle of Stockholm. Flexibility is my keyword and together with your wishes (the traffic, weather and time are also taken into consideration), we will make the best and most out of your day/s here in Stockholm. I can tell you stories from the dark ages but also the facts and glamor of our older as well as newer stars in the limelight, from ABBA to Zara Larsson and Great Garbo to ‘acting-family’ Skarsgard. I am very proud of our capital and I would say Stockholm, definitely, is one of the most open-minded cities in the world. So, what are you waiting for? Come visit and I, or one of my colleagues will be happy to show you around! My motto: smile and the world smiles with you!
HEJ, I AM LINNÉA - GUIDE STOCKHOLM
Beside guiding I’m a versatile opera singer, who loves to play Swedish folk tunes on my violin. I work with cultural trips all over Scandinavia, such as Opera- und Music Tours. One of my favorite Regions in Sweden is Dalarna (Dalecarlia). Love to add a musical touch to my guided tours – for example, Swedish folk tunes I grew up on an Island in the archipelago of Stockholm, daughter of a Hungarian father and German mother. I’ve been living in the US, in Paris as well as in Austria and Germany. I’m an Authorized Guide of Stockholm and I’ve been working as a tour leader and guide all over Scandinavia for 18 years. My specialties are Opera-Music tours and the region of Dalarna.
HEJ, I AM STEFAN - GUIDE STOCKHOLM
I’ve been working as a tour guide and leader for more than 30 years, mostly in Italy, but also in countries like Egypt and India. I love to travel, learn about other cultures and habits and I’m passionate about sharing information. After 30 years abroad I moved back to Stockholm in 2011 and I’m proud to work in Stockholm as an authorized guide. I’m a proud gay man and came out of the closet at the age of eighteen.
HEJ, I AM MARIE - GUIDE STOCKHOLM
I am an authorized Stockholm guide since 1993 and today I work as a Stockholm guide and art guide on a freelance basis. I have a long and broad experience of showing Stockholm for different types of groups. In recent years, I have mainly worked with different types of VIP groups and smaller private parties. My specialty is various types of art walks and art shows, including so-called “Figure skating”, ie views of the art in the subway. I am also hired by several different art museums for exhibitions.
HEJ, I AM ELISABETH - GUIDE STOCKHOLM
Elisabeth Daude has been working as a guide in Stockholm for over ten years. In addition to the standard sightseeing tours, Elisabeth also organizes trips over the rooftops of Stockholm, and a Millennium tour based on the books by Stieg Larsson. Elisabeth speaks German, French, Spanish and English.
HEJ, I AM PETER - GUIDE GOTHENBURG
Gothenburg has given me so much over the years so now I want to share the soul, history, and atmosphere of this city. From the beginning the city was multicultural and that was the start of a liberal spirit. An openminded city, liberal values where everyone can feel at home. City walks, bus sightseeings from the inner city til surrounding villages and islands. English and French are my professional languages. My professional motto is ” Without joy my motor stops.
